I Just Asked the FBI To Investigate the RNC
I am sick and tired of corruption being something that is 'accepted political practice.' I've heard and read this in the news. Unacceptable.

I did some research last night and found that the RNC may have broken some laws: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x4965123

So I felt absolutely compelled to do something about it. I filled out a request on the FBI tip-line. Here's what I sent them:

Regarding yesterday's indictment by a Texas Grand Jury of U.S. Representative Tom DeLay on Money Laundering (see: http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2005-10-04T001036Z_01_YUE381522_RTRUKOC_0_US-DELAY.xml ), I feel that an investigation by the FBI of the Republic National Committee is warrented based on U.S. Code, Title 18, Section 1956, Subsection 2 on money laundering. If a Texas grand jury believes there is enough evidence to indict Mr. DeLay on and based on what I've read about the case, there should be plenty of evidence implicating the RNC or high-ranking officials therein.

However, I am not a lawyer or law enforcement officer, so I respect the FBI's judgement on this. As a private citizen, I am greatly concerned with the corruption that is being uncovered in the highest levels of our nation's government. Corruption at all levels is the FBI's #4 priority and if there are other representatives at the highest level of government committing acts of corruption, I would hope they would be brought to justice.

I thank you for your time and consideration.

I hope that justice is done here. It's time for Americans to start asking for it, so let me be among the first.

2. They won't do anything because they are controlled
We need foreign intervention.

4. I still have faith in our own government...
While I admit being let down time after time, I can't help but hope that there will be a day that our own gov't will start policing itself.

Here is what my hope is based on:

Fitzgerald investigation of Plamegate
Indictments against Tom DeLay
Bill Frist under investigation
Many congressional reps seek the truth (though they have been limited by the neocons).
America is starting to wake up

5. The point is to ask them.
We the American people are being victimized. We must first ask for justice. If we don't, there is no compelling reason for our government to police itself.

6. THANK YOU MR McCOY!!
you are a true patriot and i believe i will write them as well!!

it is about time e all stop blowing smoke and take things into our own hands...just imagine if all 76,000 of du'ers wrote with that request!! and then all our friends and families as well..we've typed enough, we have complained enough to no avail..so whats another letter to the fbi??

as a flight crew for one of the 9/11 airlines..we had a hot line to write to the fbi of things we saw wrong with security..several of the things i saw wrong and wrote them were implimented....so don't think they don't read what we write them..and do not think they are all 100% in * pocket!!

and do not think "one" person can not effect change!!

one person can effect change..but it sure is easier if it is "we"!!

thank you for your work mr. mc coy!!

11. Thank you for your kind words
And encouragement. As I said above, I still believe in the principles of our government and I have faith that America can correct itself. But it has to come from an internal desire to do so. I believe that desire is active and gaining momentum in the American people.

13. wonder if this explains Mehlman's relative silence on Delay matter

I would expect him to be cranking up the noise machine for a grand performance, but I believe you posted a rather tepid release from Ken the other day. Perhaps he doesn't want to attract any attention.

12. I'm not sure we want to overload the FBI with tips...
I believe one (or a small number) should be enough.

The tip line is right off their main page, but if we over do it, I'm afraid the message will be lost.

15. Let's hope they don't start investigating YOU
Besides, they are way too busy going after consensual adult porn.

I have little faith in them to do anything, they seem to be a wholly owned subsidiary of BushCo, Inc.

17. A bid thank you for your action. I agree we shouldn't send tips enmasse
because it will dilute the importance of the issue and allow them to respond as if it's just us nuts on a political witchhunt.

But if I had to guess, I'd say Conyers is probably already on top of this.
