Why I like "I hate Dem X" posts
They give me so many opportunities to add to my burgeoning Ignore list. :D

(Please, post your Democrat-defeatist flames here, so I can add you.)

1. Where have you been for the last couple of months!?
Damnit, I could use someone like you! I feel like I've been beating these people back single handedly lately!!

9. I've been around
But, like I said, I've been developing a rather large Ignore list, so I don't see a lot of those posts anymore. :)

Sorry to leave you holding the stick. My list gets purged every so often, when I'm not feeling quite so overwhelmed.

2. Wny do I hate people who really don't want to discuss the
problems with the party, by the way go ahead, I highly dislike teh DLC, they are in bed with our modern day robber barons

6. Discussing problems with the party is fine
Randomly fomenting negativity against specific Dems in a predictable manner that echoes RW talking points is the kind of thing I'm referring to.

You can hate me if you like, but if you'll notice, you're not on my ignore list yet, so I doubt if you fall into the category I'm collecting from. :)

10. Ah well I can tell you my problem is wi th the DLC in
general, (robber barons of our day) and DiFi in particular. She IS my senator, and after certain well known votes, I don't hate her as a person, I won't vote for her... but hate anybody, strong word.

And the DLC is the main problem with the party... they are doing their best to marginalize the left... in my view they are acting like cornered animals :-) but that is a whole different ball of wax... and it is the nature of the beast, as groups gain power within any political group, they seldom go quietly into that good night

23. Yeah, I've got big problems with DiFi
I'm a constituent, too. At least I've also got Boxer. :)

Although I'll still vote for her when the choice is her or a Republican. (I can't bring myself to vote Green yet when it means a Republican will get in, but I hope it becomes a more viable option someday. I think getting rid of the massive election fraud would make a huge difference in this, btw.)

4. You didn't mention a specific Dem to hate
So, no. :)

I'm all for constructive criticism and thoughtful analysis, but I'm referring to less constructive, less thoughtful posts.

Thanks.

I hate Lieberman, I hate Biden, I hate all the "talk Left, vote Right" Legislators. I hate those that never take a stand when things get rough.

And I thought Kerry was not the best choice for President. I thought Dean was better, and if I had to choose a consensus guy, I would have said John Edwards instead of Kerry. Kerry for me was boring, a horrible articulator of the values of the Democratic Party, didn't have the fire in his belly to argue for our positions, and I thought he did a horrible job responding to the brutal Republican smear campaign against him. Many non-political people saw him as a distant patrician, not as "folksy" as Bush. Sad to say, but many Americans vote on stupid things like "if they like him". John Edwards was infinitely better physically, personality wise, argumentating (lawyer background), and people generally saw a JFK quality to him. He was a better choice.

I admire his war service and his after-the-war protesting, but I would have wished to see THAT John kerry, not the leftover DLC-ideology-infected replacement that we were given to vote for. I voted for him to beat Bush, but I wasn't too happy.

22. I disagree with your view of Kerry
But I respect your opinion.

FWIW, I voted for Dean in the primaries, intended to vote Kerry as ABB, and then became a convert after watching Going Upriver. I know some people feel they didn't see "that" Kerry in the race, but I felt that I did.

One thing I like about our new age, is that there's so much less nuance. I mean in the old day you could say something like "Well Liebermann is ok on economic issues, but he's in bed with the Bushies on the war on terror and his take on social issues leaves a lot to be desired." What a mouthfull!

Consider how much luckier we are to live in an age where we can just say "Liebermann -> Corporate whore." And of course "Supporters of Liebermann -> wannabe Corporate whores." Makes life so much easier.

We don't do jack shit with all the information we actually have access to.

8. I'm not blindly loyal to any party
I care about Americans, I care about the Constitution, I care about voting rights.

If they don't care about those things why should I care about them?

19. Please...they're too easy to hate
:D

I draw the line when a post doesn't appear to be constructive but rather aims to sow divisiveness...and when it comes from a broken record. I'm not putting everyone on my list who simply dislikes my favorite Dems, only those who have that certain je ne sais quoi.

(I know this is a silly thread. Like anyone cares that I'm ignoring them. Lol!)

20. two things
one, what are your favorite Dems,

and two, seems hypocritical to me that you're taking this holier-than-thou attitude toward people by announcing that you will be banning people for making non-constructive comments, but then you post this meaningless thread?
