Anyone have facts about Faux news and their viewers? I am
interested in complaining to our Dr's office who shows only Faux news constantly. I would like to arm myself with some stats and facts about how it's a propaganda machine and how it's viewers are the LEAST informed Americans. I have seen Outfoxed. Anything else I could use that you know of?

4. That was a survey - PIPA or something like that. I'll look when I get
back from picking up the kids from school (if no one else has already found it).

6. There was a non-partisan study done by PIPA and Univ of Maryland
that showed that Fox News watchers were LESS informed. And the more they watched, the LESS informed they were.

There's a PDF of the study, but here's the html version

9. I mentioned this to a real wingnut once,
and she said, "you mean THAT liberal bastion?".

There is just NO getting through to some people.

10. Yes, they have been conditioned to think a FACT is only an OPINION
if it doesn't come from a right-winger.

They think that 2+2 = 5 if O'Reilly said it.

12. That is true and such a curiosity to me. How does that happen?
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 04:55 PM by texpatriot2004
I mean really. How from a thinking perspective does one get to the point where facts are opinions? We are living in a culture of this and it's quite maddening. What happened to facts and logic?

Are you familiar with the term "crazymaking" ? That's what it reminds me of.
