Earlier, we pointed out how Candy Crowley portrayed Bush as a passive victim of events: Katrina, Plame, DeLay, Iraq, etc. have been "coming at him in a fierce way."

Now, Mike Allen of the Washington Post appears on CNN's Situation Room and analyzes Bush's demeanor during today's press conference. Key quote: "Events have conspired against him."

It's amazing how pathologically incapable Pre$$titutes are of blaming Bush for anything. It's not 'events' Mike, it's an unqualified person being lifted to the highest position on the planet with the invaluable assistance of a negligent, irresponsible, reckless media.

Bush has created the mess he's in; unfortunately for us, we're in it with him.

Even though he has been carried on a rickshaw through his entire life and into the presidency after all of daddy's buddies stole it for him, he still is a massive failure..or maybe it's BECAUSE of the coddling and sheltering he's received that he's failed so hugely.

5. Victim my ass

He's a victim alright, a victim of those who manipulated him into a position for which he is so sadly and pitifully unqualified. I think the poor schmuck is starting to realize that he just isn't like other presidents, just as he must have realized he wasn't quite like other oil execs, national guard members etc. What's even worse its beginning to dawn on him that most Americans now see him for the total and ubanbiguous fraud he really is that his whole adult life is basically fiction. All this time he thought people were admiring how "tough" he was they were laughing at what a little wimpy fake cowboy he really was.
