While I was traveling - I picked up the Newsweek magazine
Mostly for the cover article.
As I grab the magazine some guy standing there says that is total bull shit.
I looked him in the eye and said, I think it is bull shit they got away with it this long then went and paid for the magazine.

I am only assuming he meant the magazine cover and article was bull shit but I still don't think my remark was out of line regardless of where this guy stood. If he was not a bu$h loyalist, he could have responded, I agree or something like that, he stood behind me at the cash register.

2. Good response...Enough is enough!
I know I'm tired of biting my tongue and being polite when people make pro-Bush comments in public. What gives them the right to think that their opinion is so much more valuable and "right." And what's more, I find it incrediably rude of people who make snide comments about my Peace buttons or my bumper stickers. So I made a vow that I will no longer be silent.

Bravo. we have to speak up every chance we get to overcome as much of the right-wing bullshit as we can.
Don't let right-wingers, racists, sexists or any other ignorant speakers get away unscathed from their comments.
Anyone who overhears you will be empowered to speak up when they have the chance.
Ignorant speakers depend upon quiet acceptance of their views. When they are confronted, most will learn to think about who they are speaking around before spouting off.

9. THANK YOU!!
Last night I was trying to explain to my son why he had to be careful about talking politics around his friends' parents. Not for the first time I couldn't explain why liberals tend--as a general rule--to be less obnoxious than conservatives about shoving their views into other people's faces before knowing how said other people feel.

So many conservatives just make their grand pronouncements about what's right and wrong without bothering their beautiful minds about whether they might piss people off. That is, without bothering to even try to be minimally polite.

We're so much nicer than they are. :)

3. Nice. Good retort.
The thing about RW'ers.... they are bullies. When you counterpunch, they are clueless.

4. I've f***** had it also
No more looking out for the other's feelings. FUCK THEM I'm gonna tell it like it is. Some of these people need to be hit across the head with a 2x4 to wake up. I think all of us speaking up and not taking any more of their shit is a metaphoric 2x4!
