Jesse Ventura on CNBC just said something that made me think |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 09:26 PM by ikhor
He said if Hillary gets elected in 2008, then the US would have been ruled by only two families in the last 24 years.
Donny asked him who he would support in 2008, and Ventura said himself, if he runs.
interesting

3. Amazing that Ventura makes anyone think |
|
BTW, Roosevelts led the country for 20 years, too.

11. The count is 1988 through 2012. |
|
If Hillary's elected in 2008 she would go to 2012 -- 24 consecutive years of Bushes and Clintons.

Geo. H.W. Bush was president from 1989 - 1993 (4 yrs) <4 yrs> W.J. Clinton was president from 1993 - 2001 (8 yrs) <12 yrs> Geo. W. Bush is president from 2001 - 2009 (8 yrs) <20 yrs> Hillary R. Clinton IF president 2009 - 2013 (4 yrs) <24 yrs>

26. You really need to add Reagan years in there |
|
I'd go with at least 32. Bush hijacked the Republican party and got himself on the bill with Reagan. Reagan didn't want him but Bush held all the purse strings.

However, I noticed that when I took those off I got the 24 years that Ventura was talking about. I wholeheartedly agree that the 32 years should be included as well.

But if Hillary is elected in 2008, it would be:
Bush - 4 years Clinton - 8 years Bush - 8 years Clinton - 4 years
That would be 24 consecutive years of Bush and Clinton.
It's time for a change.

No matter how much I love the Clintons, I don't want them in the White House again. We're a country that should not have ruling families.
So....let's go Barbara Boxer! :)

I feel like the atonement for the baby boomers will be to end the two-party domination. It is as important subject as any and I am pleased the question was asked. I am glad you told us about it. It was an excellent reply by "Do I Stand Alone" Ventura.

30. I saw him interviewed a few days ago......... |
|
.......and he said he was moving out of the country. When they asked him why, he said that this country is restricting freedoms too much and there are other countries that allow more freedom (I agree with him about that).
He didn't say where he was planning to move but my guess is probably Canada.
So if he does move, that would pretty much guarantee that he's not running for President.
