Whatever happened to the color coded terrorist threat levels?
Do we have to wait until election time or maybe it is that they don't want to ruffle the stock market's feathers?

1. The 2004 election, that's what
It is no coincidence at all that the announcement of "threats" increased as the 2004 presidential election drew near, then vanished as soon as the election was over.

see them again. Maybe 6 months before the midterms? Maybe sooner. It is getting to be time to scare folks back into compliance again don't you think?

9. They didn't need the star trek vote after they won the election
so they discontinued it. Or the masses were getting deconditioned to it.

10. They were too expensive to maintain.

The transit systems in DC and NYC have been on 'Orange' alert levels at times.

The 'Orange' alerts were huge, unfunded mandates on municipalities that they simply could not afford. Yes, it's about money. That's why they started making the area covered more specific.

24. What do the colors mean again?

Who can ever remember what the stupid colors mean anyway?

I still say we ditch the Rainbow Terror Alert System and go with a Paper - Scissors - Rock alert system. That way at least we will always know whether the current alert beats the last alert.
