What's up with the forged Niger docs investigation?

I googled and couldn't find anything recent on this at all. Isn't there an investigation into who forged the documents? Who's running the investigation? Please don't tell me it's the FBI. Is there a person in charge? Any recent news on it?

The key has a long string attached to it, passing through some of these people and ending up on KKKarl's keychain:
