Cover-up deep in the heart of Texas
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 07:50 AM by maxrandb
I am posting this here instead of Breaking News because it comes from our friends at World "NUT" Daily. I find it extremely interesting that the guy who wrote that piece of crap "Unfit for Command" and probably helped chimpy get elected is now looking into whether Dan Rather and CBS got it right all along about Bush's TANG service.

Perhaps this guy is suffering from "buyers remourse", or ran out of the "kool-aid". In any event, I say to Mr Corsi; "Fuck you, you piece of shit! You helped elect this mis-administration with a pack of disgusting lies and attacks against an honorable man, and decorated Vietnam War Vet. There is not a deep enough spot in hell for you!"

anyway, here's from the story. FYI-my local wing-nut radio host is "all aflutter" about this story this morning.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46665

"CBS missed the boat. Dan Rather should never have used the forged documents. Instead, "60 Minutes" should have focused on GTECH, Ben Barnes and Harriet Miers.

The real story in Texas goes back to the Texas Lottery scandals of the 1990s. This can of worms, now re-opened by the Miers nomination, appears to be a story of political influence peddling, cover-ups over exactly how and why George Bush got into the National Guard, and GTECH – the Rhode Island company that has held the Texas contract since 1992, despite not always being the low bidder."

*********************************************************************
I have a question for Mr Corsi: "When will you and the rest of the 'not-so-swift-boat' veterans apologize to Senator Kerry and the American people?"

1. We should listen. World nut knows a thing or two about cover-ups.
What an amusing piece.

2. The real story on Mier is the Texas Lottery
I quit paying attention to the daily soap opera of corruption at that point in time. The Lottery was well run under Ann Richards and Nora Linares. It's been corrupt beyond repair since that idiot was our governor. Anyone wanting dirt on Mier need look no further than the Texas Lottery. You'll find all you'll ever need.

6. I'm Getting Confused
I think I'm suffering from "corruption fatigue" from this mis-administration.

Tracking their corruption keeps you "busier than a cat covering shit on a linoleum floor".

3. There seems to be a resonance in the echo chamber
Several papers have published on Miers link to immunizing Bush against the TANG/AWOL scandal

Here's another thread...

Maybe Dan Rather will get a chance to rehabilitate himself.

4. This is interesting. So why do you
think he nominated her? It seems they could tie her--and him two at least two scandals.

5. In a word, Arrogance!
They feel they are above the law & events seem to bear that out. They have done so much wrong for so long, they believe they can do anything they wish!

7. You beat me to it!!
That's it. It's arrogance! What is that saying? Something like "Power ultimately corrupts, but ultimate power corrupts absolutely".

What would you think, if for 5 years, you had been able to get away with what they've gotten away with?. It's like kids and drunk driving, they think they are indestructable.

9. One reason and one reason only
He nominated her to keep his own ass out of jail. Literally.

That's really what I think.

Funny, isn't it, that this idiot fails to realize what it means if the nation cannot deal with him legally. He fails to understand what options that leaves us. That was what a democratic nation was supposed to be good for; peaceful transfer of power, according to the wishes of the people...and repercussions for those that subvert it.

It WAS NOT a good idea to take away (subvert)the system of legal repercussions, imho, because what does it leave?

8. This is bizarre. Corsi was a freeper, and yet he is openly critical here.
And about things that most Freepers would never complain about. Am I missing something? Did he not get his White House Christmas card?

10. He's eating his own because he's not happy about Miers
Now that Chimpy is a lame duck, the right-wingers feel free to criticize him. There's no need to keep The Big Lie going anymore, and because they're VERY pissed about Miers, they'll do what they can in order to scuttle the nomination. Rank-and-file righties aren't very happy with Dubya -- they're beginning to realize that the only people who have really benefited from Dubya's reign of error are the gazillionaire CEO class. Most of the dummies who voted Bush/Cheney are sucking hind tit right now, what with gasoline at three bucks a gallon and a long winter on the way. They were hoping that they'd at least get another nut-job on the court in exchange for their financial hardship. D'oh! Remember, dummies -- there's only red meat for you when your vote is needed.

11. I think they see the writing on the wall
and are trying to prevent a Democratic landslide in the 2006/2008 elections. Their gravy train is running out of gas, and the chickens are coming home to roost.

The fat lady has sung
The cat's out of the bag
The train has left the station
The cows have come home
The fox is in the hen house
Their dogs don't hunt

in other words...This mis-administration is in deep, DEEP trouble, and could possibly drag the entire Republican Party down with it.

12. Miers is still a nutjob.
Freepers have no appreciation for subtlety or strategy, it seems.
