Safety-schmafety. Has the 9/11 attack been avenged? |
|
Sure, Bush was supposed to make us "safer" and obviously hasn't, but let's not forget to emphasize the other side of his failure: Bush failed to avenge 9/11.
I think there were two sides to the emotions people felt. They wanted to be safer, and they wanted payback. We keep asking whether we are safer, and that's fine. But where is the payback?

1. Good point. I am enraged that Bush abandoned the mission ... |
|
to get the people that attacked NYC for his oil grab in Iraq!
The operation in Afghanistan to destroy al qaeda was a JOKE!! because Bush and his oil cronies were fixated on Iraq.

5. Great point. I bring this up to my freeper-type friends and family often. |
|
I tell them I think this administration is doing a lousy job fighting terrorism because we are not safer than we were before 9-11 and why has Bin Laden not been brought to justice for the 9-11 attacks...whatever happened to we'll get him "dead or alive"? The US brags about being able to read a license plate from outer space, we've spent hundred of billions of dollars and spilled the blood of close to 2000 soldiers but I'm supposed to believe we are winning the war on terrorism when 4 years later we still can't find a 6 foot tall nut-case who lives in a cave with a dialysis machine?

6. But he avenged the potential lawsuits from it! |
|
Remember how many billions came from those willing to donate. Bush's minions did not say, "Fork over the money so we can put some strings to it."
But when the survivors and family members needed financial help they had to sign a promise not to sue... WTF? Bush was protecting his ass. Am I the only one to have been outraged by this exploitation of our donations?

7. And the fact is that vengeance is not right, but it's what jerks like Bush |
|
want, or say they want. He never even mentioned forgiveness, which is what Christ commanded his sorry ass to do. So not only does he squawk about Payback, he fails to accomplish it.
