Their personal beliefs don't mean anything to me if they're not using them to shape policy. I don't think either Clinton or Carter did.

I prefer not to have the religious beliefs of elected officials anywhere near policy making. *If* their *spiritual* beliefs has made them a better person, or not, then let them be judged by their personal qualities.
Keep religion away from my government, thank you.
