O'Reilly on Media Matters: "assassins" "the worst, most vicious"
In a segment on the October 4 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor that he promoted as examining "the most vicious political websites in the country," host Bill O'Reilly named Media Matters for America "the worst," falsely claiming that Media Matters "makes stuff up about me ... every day of my life" and has "no ethics or scruples." He also referred to Media Matters as "assassins" and called those alerting the media of items posted at Media Matters "zombies."

O'Reilly claimed that he experienced difficulty booking guests for the segment because "they were afraid that Media Matters would go after them." He also described the state of fear he claims to live under because of Media Matters: "I've got to have bodyguards. I've got to have security wherever I go. And it's because of them." He then declared, "I don't fear them; I loathe them."

The O'Reilly Factor has repeatedly declined requests from Media Matters to appear on the show to discuss claims made on it.

Probably a good idea when you start calling for assasinations against foreign leaders, whose own practices are full of examples of political murder and assasination.

13. But I thought Bill O'Reilly was a fearless man's man.
He's always threatening his guests as if he can't contain himself and is going to physically harm them for disagreeing with him.
Maybe Bill's afraid because some people take his treasonous lying as a threat to their liberty. Or maybe he's afraid because his latest phone sex victim has a boy friend or spouse or relative and is coming after his sick ass. Whatever, I always knew he was a big wuss.

14. O'Reilly Puts the Ass Ass in Assassin
Media Matters should thank O'Reilly for boosting their notoriety. To hold such power is heady. Perhaps we should track down exactly when he hired bodyguards. Probably well before Media Matters ever gave him the time of day.

18. What pussies these rightwing talking heads are
They sounded so tough when they were being ignored by the left, as they lied and lied about public figures, one of whom was Tom Daschle, who had to go to the Senate floor after his family was threatened with bombs, as a result of the hateful diatribe from the audiences of the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

And the rightwing went after him even more, after that. Too bad O'Reilly, you started it, now live with it. The 'left' won't tolerate it anymore, and boy, what crybabies, when they aren't allowed to go on bullying and lying about people anymore.

Poor propagandists, they're losing their audience and the dirty money they took for sliming decent people, is beginning to dry up.

That's the only reason Rush, O'Reilly and Savage/Weiner are weeping like little girls! They should be charged with treason, imo. They've lied and slimed decent, patriotic Americans and nearly destroyed this country for far too long. I can't wait for the day when they're all gone, and replaced with intelligent Republican commentators, who deal with issues, not slime people because they can't defend their policies.

Cry away, O'Reilly, the American people are waking up, and it's not because of Media Matters. All your treasonous lies are being exposed. So, in the words of top rightwingers like O'Reilly himself 'Shut up' and 'Go Cheney yourselves' ~ your lying days are numbered.

23. Oh, the Demented Irony
'Cause here they're talking about Drudge, right?

They have certain columnists that they are friendly with, and they spit this stuff right into those columnists, Mr. Babbin, do they not?

BABBIN: Well, absolutely. I mean, we're really in a situation now where, Bill, five or 10 years ago, we had what was called a news cycle. And people waited an hour or two or 12 before putting something in print or on the air. Right now there is no news cycle. Everything is instantaneous, whether it's on television, on the Internet, or anywhere else. And reporters in some cases get pretty lazy. They take uncorroborated stuff right off of a website and put it out on the air or in the newspaper. And it's just garbage.

O'REILLY: And you know how they get around it? Then they call you for comment. They print the slander --

29. David Brock
It's like he's doing penance for his time spent with the RW, and the character assassination he did on Anita Hill. I read his books, and especially liked, "Blinded by the Right," the story of how he became involved with the Right, what he did for them and with them, and how he eventually "saw the light" of the Left. In that book, he also tells the story of how the Right planned for and then became so powerful. I recommend this book to everyone...it's easy reading and fascinating!

I was lucky enough to hear him speak at the Media Reform Conference in April and to meet him at a book signing...he is one of my all-time heroes! There are so many unsung heroes out there on our side, those that just slug away at the Right every day, spot-lighting their viciousness, taking pot-shots, agitating and aggravating the Right. And, Brock is just one of them, but one of the best!

30. MediaMatters.org cost Bill Bennett his job at K12
and possibly his radio job as well.

And MediaMatters.org's work led to the Pat Robertson Hugo Chavez scandal, which resulted in Robertson apologizing to Chavez, and a possible lawsuit by Chavez against Robertson.

Both the Bennett and Robertson scandals started with tips to MediaMatters.org.

Brock is a dangerous man.

31. That's absurd...
Media Matters just quotes people's own words and presents factual evidence to the contrary.

They don't make anything up -- nor do they write opinion pieces. They take direct quotes and reference sources.

If you say something incorrect, or hypocritical, they call you on it.

Media Matters never puts ANYthing up that doesn't source right back to the HORSE'S MOUTH.

Of course, since O'Reilly is a lying sack of ****, this scares hims.

The Loofah Gourd is a member of the Cucurbitaceae ( Gourd ) family. The Loofah is spelled several different ways, i.e., Loofah, Luffa or Lufa. It's commonly known as the Washrag Gourd. It is the only plant known that can be raised and used as a sponge. The sponges are very versatile in that they can be used for bathing, washing dishes or scrubbing. The Loofah is widely used for bathing to invigorate the skin as well as gift giving and crafts. A distant cousin of the cucumber, Loofah's have been cultivated for bath time luxury for hundreds of years. Our Loofah's are grown in Guatemala specifically for The Chemistry Store. They are of the softer variety and are not as scratchy as normal Loofah sponges. Add them to your melt & pour soap project or simply include them in your gift baskets.

Our shipment has arrived! The Loofah's this year are larger than the previous years product. They can be cut to whatever size you need. All the sponges have a 2-3 inch plus diameter. You won't find loofah's anywhere at this price. The sponges are packed flat and will expand to normal round shape after they have be wet.
