Trent Lott Must Be Really Pissed At Bush....
When interviewed on MSNBC this AM, he really lowered the boom on FEMA, reading the language where FEMA is to use contractors from the area affected. Thus far they've only seen a fraction. Also a littany of FEMA F-ups on not only a slow start, but continued screw-ups.

He also said he wasn't going to take a deep bow on every nominee administration sends up. Said he wasn't comfortable with Meir, doesn't know her, and there are many "more" qualified.

Cracks are evident in the Republican wall, and MSNBC continues to repeat the segment, and has a crawl on the screen about what Lott said. No word yet if Cheney has turned Lott into a pillar of salt.

2. Wow! So, they are violating laws and regs pertaining to FEMA contract,...

Yeah. It's disgusting as hell that this bunch indulges in profitting off human misery ALL THE TIME!!!

4. Trent wants revenge
He has not forgotten how he was dumped over that Strom business, after it had blown over, he had gone on BET, apologized, and the black community said "Hey, we know where he comes from, no surprises there, so what? He doesn't discriminate when it comes to bringing jobs to his state..."

He got dumped for Frist because Frist was more malleable--Trent had real power, and used it, and the WH did not like that.

Trent is said to be making a run for the whip job...this is all about his state, his local politics, and not unimportantly, his revenge.

They say it is a dish best served cold!

6. But what about his house?
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 01:06 PM by rbajai
I thought * promised Lott that front porch. Why would Lott go up against * and possibly lose that porch?

I think *'s stupid comment on Lott's house will be forever remembered as SO OUTRAGEOUS as to focus on a rich man's house while the poor were down there dying.

7. I wonder if Lott smells blood in the water
My sources tell me that Trent Lott is almost exactly what he appears to be on TV: elitist, racist, fundamentalist and above all, totally self-absorbed.

There are no boundaries to his personal ambition.

Trent Lott has an angle which I don't think anyone has dared to publicly air. I think Lott is the #2 ranking Senator in seniority, which means that he really should be the President Pro Tempore. And of course, he lost his job as Senate Majority Leader to Bill Frist.

That could prove to be important sometime soon. Should Ted Stevens ever vacate the Pro Tempore slot (at 81, it's not as if the guy has to "meet with like an accident" for the position to open up early), Mr. Lott would be the obvious next choice. And that in turn would place Mr. Lott at the #4 slot in line of succession to the Presidency, right behind good old Dennis Hastert, who has a habit of doing what he's told.

A guy like Lott might realize that he's too much of an asshole to ever be elected President, but he could succeed to the Presidency if he plays his cards right.

But first, the President and the Vice President have to go down. Is that the blood Trent smells in the water?

9. Cheney turn Lott into a pillar of salt?
Yikes! I thought only God could do that. I refuse to put Cheney anywhere near deification. I think poisoning Lott would be more Cheney's style. Poisoning him, or sucking his blood dry, either one.

10. Lott wouldn't say this if his constituency wasn't saying it first.
The administration has pissed off the base from Pensacola to Houston.
The Charlotte Observer had two letters from avowed conservatives slamming the administration and the GOP - one stated "I am conservative before I am a Republican" and "I have no Party to represent me".

High gas prices and Katrina and Rita have done more than anything to expose the failures. Disgusting. All of this was evident in Iraq but nobody really gave a damn about Iraqi's. Now the failure is on our shores and all of a sudden they care.

It's almost worth the past five years of 'planet of the apes' just to hear them bellow and howl. They can all eat shit and bark at the moon.
AhhhhOOOooo.
