Ridicule is not persecution. Prohibition is.

The idea that it's okay to ridicule Christianity, or white males, or Suzie homemaker in an open discussion because "they've had it good so long they should be able to take it..."

But there is something verboten about laughing at people who have attempted to resurrect and mainstream a Pagan religion that is as dead in the free market of ideas as it deserves to be?
It is NOT OKAY to make fun of people who think slaughtering beef is the equivalent of the holocaust?

As a general thing, I try to lay off folks with ideas that I think are wacky, because I've got some wacky ideas myself. I think we should all be driving cars that run on corn products.

But I don't think you can cry "persecution" when all that's happening is that you're being made fun of.

And no. I don't think I need to march shoulder to shoulder with someone who thinks a piece of quartz will cure cancer. Because it makes me look like an idiot.
