Bush's Failures: 'The Note' Mistakes Reality For "Press Themes"

Our Bush-loving friends at ABC's The Note toss in this revealing sentence in today's analysis of the Miers nomination: "here would be a political advantage for the Democrats if the President were to lose this fight. It would lead to more and more stories about GOP infighting and a "the Republicans can't govern" story line, as well as a stoking of the favorite press themes of "second-term curse," "Bush bedeviled by cronyism," and "ironically, Bush got - and lost - a big fight after making a pick seemingly designed to avoid one."

Excuse me, but these aren't "story lines" and "press themes," they're reality. A 'press theme' is Kerry the "flip-flopper" or Gore the liar. But then again, these Pre$$titutes are so used to pushing pro-Bush press themes it's the only way they know how to think.

We need to make stands based upon our principles and not just react to whatever the Reps do or don't do (and often to themselves)...
