All these rumors of indictments, & Drudge is suddenly offline all day?

After seeing the first rumors about the indictments posted here this morning, I couldn't resist seeing if Drudge had anything about this, one of his "developing" stories. And I couldn't access his website then, or this afternoon. Isn't it unusual for his website to be down that long?

Of course, given a choice between pretending a story isn't out there, and reporting news like this, he might prefer not to be online...

5. please tell me something about Drudge

after the Clinton "scandal" I got the impression that Drudge was just another partisan Republican hack looking to dig up garbage on democrats. I hadn't checked his site in years but I looked at it yesterday and it seemed like there was a lot of anti-bush stuff on there.

what's the take on him? is he really non partisan, just looking for garbage on anyone? Or what? Can someone who reads his stuff a lot tell me.

Sometimes he'll link to something legit but its still obvious who pays his bills.
