Is there a person of Filippino descent who is involved in espionage?
Just told a moderate Republican about the indictments that may be coming down the pike. He was shocked because he didn't know anything about it, but he blurted out, "oh yeah, there was a filippino who was a holdover from Al Gore and the Bush Administration kept him on and he got Cheney in trouble with espionage. But he was Al Gore's guy first!"

Anybody have any idea who he's talking about?

Espionage Case Breaches the White House

Oct. 5, 2005 — Both the FBI and CIA are calling it the first case of espionage in the White House in modern history.

Officials tell ABC News the alleged spy worked undetected at the White House for almost three years. Leandro Aragoncillo, 46, was a U.S. Marine most recently assigned to the staff of Vice President Dick Cheney.

"I don't know of a case where the vetting broke down before and resulted in a spy being in the White House," said Richard Clarke, a former White House advisor who is now an ABC News consultant.

Federal investigators say Aragoncillo, a naturalized citizen from the Philippines, used his top secret clearance to steal classified intelligence documents from White House computers.

6. Wow. I can't believe I missed this one.
Sounds big, though it's low tech espionage if all he did was use e-mail.

You do realize that all anybody is hearing is that this guy worked for Al Gore, right?

What did this guy do for Al Gore, exactly? Just put stamps on the envelopes?

4. See this LBN post:

We think it'a a Rovian distraction from the coming Plame-related indictments and the DeLay indictments. BTW, the alleged spy is a naturalized American and a (former?) Marine acording to the report.

10. The "alleged spy" apparently worked for VP Gore's office
therefore the spy is Gore's fault.

9. We should have known. If you can't have sex in the oval office without
the world knowing about it, why should anything else be sacred?
