The draft.

And it will come back. I don't know the timetable. I don't know how the law will be written, and maybe it won't work like the draft did 40 years ago, but it will still be a draft: compulsory service to the state.

7. The same as "hard work". When they say something, they mean that it's
for people other than themselves.

It's another way of saying "fuck you" to America. While taking from America. With a smile and a facade of leadership.

3. Yeah, i smell a draft also...
but i think this country will go up in turmoil if the draft is brought back, cause I say this now, if there is a draft i am doing one of two things . 1. Becoming a canadian. 2. Burning the draft letter and going to jail. I hate jail, so guess which option i'm leaning more towards...:)

4. I don't know- if it's a draft there's a chance that rich kids have to go
I think it's more likely that they keep tanking the economy, at least as far as jobs go- then the "sacrifice" is "those brave young men and women" who just happen to come from the lower economic strata, because damned if there just aren't any good jobs for them.

The * dictionary defines sacrifice as those without much giving up whatever they have left so that those with much don't have to give up anything...

11. I completely agree

It's an economic draft, pure and simple. I wonder what their plan is when the U.S. economy collapses. There is a special place in hell reserved for these f*ckers.

We have no business in Iraq. In case you missed it, Bush lied and people died. We have no business there. Period. We certainly don't need to "burn some toast." What are you thinking?

on edit- When are you signing up to go to Iraq??

18. Why would anything Bush says suddenly mean something?
Although if he's serious about sacrifice, you can rest assured that there weren't any mirrors in the room.
