Anyone else have a gut feeling Bush won't finish his term?
I really don't know what it is, but for some reason it just doesn't feel like he's going to be president three years from now. Now gut feelings can be wrong, but I want to know what you think.

1. Unless the two most recent major scandals in his
administration can be attributed to him, he'll finish his term.

that he wouldn't make it past 2006.

incumbent. Anyone replacing him could. Let Bush finish his term, please....

35. Thats exactly right.
As much as it pains me to say this; I want him to finish his term (I just threw up in my mouth a little from typing that :puke: )for that very reason you stated. We just have to hope and/or pray he doesn't kill us all in the meantime.

6. I predict he'll have a nervous breakdown. . .
fake or real and will consequently sidestep indictments and/or impeachment.

Delirium tremors from a lifetime of drug abuse.

Don't care how he leaves. . .so weary of his daily idiotic presence dominating our collective consciousness.

:argh:

When Papa Bushit was in office, I had a very vivid dream that he died of a heart attack while jogging. Maybe I had the wrong Bushit!

cause if you're dream was right and this prediction was right, then what comes after this is pretty fargin' awful...

does anyone have one of those mind-zapper-memory-erasing thingys from Men In Black they can use on me...cause since I've been reading too much, understand more than I ever did..I want so much to be OBLIVIOUS TO IT ALL AGAIN..:scared:

18. No kidding!
No, "they" ALL need to go. If they remain in power for another three years, there will be nothing left of the country that I once knew and my nieces and nephews will suffer the brunt of it. My heart can barely stand that thought.

Peace...

9. McCain is appointed to clean up the repugs image after impeachment
You can already start to see the alignment to salvage their control. Others will undoubtedly also try to position themselves. My prediction is that Santorum will be McCain's chief competition, but McCain will succeed Bush after impeachment.

He gets to remain in office rather than removed. Democrats get that he'll never use the Presidential veto power or power to pardon.

16. Under normal circumstances like in the past
he would. But America has changed. There is a defacto dictatorship here now with no real checks and balances. I'd say the only hope is Fitz has something and the media tells the public instead of covering and propping up this government.

20. I have a gut feeling
he'll try for another. We can't have an election; We are at war. We are under attack from an outside force, terrorists. Anyone who thinks we should have an election is unpatriotic, and is emoboldening the enemy.

21. Yes
I had the feeling very strongly and clearly last year a few days or so before the election. I had this huge feeling that something big will bring Bush down. I still have this huge feeling too that he won't go past his term. I just don't believe it. I had a flash once of him leaving the White House with sad eyes (it was very fast and in a blink).

Democrats regain the House/Senate....George deals. Resignation with no impeachment, but a quid pro quo to accept Al Gore as Vice-President prior to Bush resigning.

30. I had the same feeling a couple of weeks ago.
Again, it's just a feeling.

And then I read Carl Bernstein's lo-n-n-n-g article in the current Vanity Fair. In it he talks about many things, but one of them is the day he and Woodward realized Nixon would have to resign.

They were both in the newsroom cranking out stories when they learned that John Mitchell controlled the slush fund. This was only three months after the Watergate break-in. Bernstein read it and said, "holy shit. He's going to have to resign." Woodward read it too, looked up at Carl and said, "my God, you're right."

They had to wait two years to see their prediction come true. Ummm, how long has the Fitzgerald investigation lasted?

Gone in a year.

Rove will be indicted by Halloween and probably others. The wheels have already come off; without Rove they'll be shadowy images in the rear view. Crashcart will work out of the newly installed cardiology unit in the West Wing, while his right-hand shlubs will be languishing in federal corrections institutions in the Catoctin mountains.

You, too may be reminded of Richard III.
