who is challenging sensenbrenner?

1. I don't think he's a neocon.

Sensenbrenner is more of the old-school conservative. I think he's only voted with Bush about 75% of the time. Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't evil.

My guess is that he would be nearly impossible to beat in his section of Wisconsin. There hasn't been a competitive race for the House in WI for years, it is all gerrymandered to hell.

But his district is all the repuke rich suburbs of Milwaukee. It's going to take a miracle to defeat him. They're not the religious type either, they're the racist "nuke Iraq" and "steamroll the niggers" types. I loathe nearly that entire district. I know it might be impossible, but I campaigned for Kerry in Tosa last year, and I was actually surprised at the balance between Kerry/Edwards and Fascism/Cronyism yard signs.

Of course Tosa is not the main problem. That lies in Waukesha and Ozaukee conties. And Shorewood actually has to be a plus for us.
