Four Marines die in Iraq bomb attack, U.S. says

BAGHDAD, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Four U.S. Marines were killed in a roadside bomb explosion during combat operations in Gharma near Falluja, the military said on Friday.

A military statement said the deaths occurred on Thursday but gave no further details. It said names were being withheld pending notification of the families.

Falluja, about 50 km (30 miles) west of Baghdad, is a stronghold of Sunni Arab opposition to U.S. occupation and the Shi'ite-led government.

The American people are so kept in the dark about casualities that in order to really know about any each day, you have to actually research for the statistic. If it is reported on the news, it is a small blip that lasts maybe a second. This administration is purposefully keeping Americans in the dark so there won't be any outrage. SHAMEFUL!!!

2. Four more funerals that Bush will ignore

The record shows that Bush has not attended the funeral service for even one of our sons and daughters in the armed services who have died overseas in the service of the nation.

Bush has not been to one funeral. He needs to sit down with Cindy Sheehan and explain to her and the country what this "honorable" war is all about. I feel he has no answer for her, or for any of the other grieving families and communities.

after the great "constitutional election" next week, but I'm beginning to have my doubts. If these "dead enders" are capable of sustained attacks in this fashion what's to keep them from continuing on this pace? 7. My Son Told Me It's Gonna Get Much Worse

He is stationed at Camp Ramadi with the 3/7 Marines. The last time I spoke with him he just did not want to hang up and when I began crying I could hear him take a breath weirdly...the way he does when he is fighting back tears of his own.
