NYC Mayor studying Bush administration tactics? |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 09:02 AM by tgnyc
Mike Bloomberg was about to take some serious political gunfire today in New York for failing to show at a mayoral debate in Harlem until this curious subway threat appeared. http://intelligencesquad.blogspot.com/2005/10/how-bloomberg-benefits-from-latest.html

1. You know; unfortunately a terror threat put out by the government is |
|
something we all have to endure and be cognizant of. We as well worry about our families and loved ones and are overjoyed when they are safe and back home after something like this.
All I can say is, if this is a tool being used for political purposes, this is one of the cruelest methods being used against the American people I can think of that has ever been done by any administration or government agency. How cold to play on people's fears!
I truly hope this is not the case or that our government has sunk this low.

3. "How cold to play on people's fears!"... |
|
Tha is what this admin does and will continue to do. Look at this statement as a factual utterance and then ask yourself the question again. Bloomberg is indeed a lap dog for He who will not be named look at the use of police in our city for political use.( i.e. Cindy Sheehan, Republican convention.) There is an abundant use of abusing personal freedoms undere this Bloomberg's watchful eyes. Follow the money for Bloomberg. 7 million doallrs donated to Crap weasel's reelection. Largest single donation made to him. There is collusion and NYC is the official scapegoat for terror threats in this country. I feel cold.

4. Yeah, It's turned out so well for B*sh.. |
|
Nobody believes a damn word he says anymore.. I wonder if Bloomberg really wants to go down that path?
(I'll admit the thought crossed my mind when the "Harlem no-show" report was followed immediately by a "TERRA underground" report.)

8. apparently DHS gave NYC the information |
|
but because the hadn't backed up the information with another more credible source they were surprised that Bloomberg went public.

7. I'm sure it's a little of both |
|
every time I ride the subway the thought goes through my head. I think everyone is aware that that the subway is a huge target (I haven't felt that comfortable riding since 9/11..........an active imagination can be a hindrance when packed like sardines on the 42nd St shuttle!)
So do I believe there was a threat, sure...... do I think it was then translated into a political advantage, definitely!
