through out history conquering armies have stuck heads of the defeated citizens on polls that lined the roads to the sacked cities. in this picture i see some soldier decided that it was appropriate to once again symbolize the defeat of a city and it`s people

3. it`s a symbol
why would or how could an iraqi put the dolls head on a stick after the check point. why doesn`t the american soldier take such an offensive symbol down?
