How many gutless Democrat officials does it take to change a light bulb?

2 gutless Dems to say the problem can be solved by shifting more to the center.

8 to demand hearings on the light bulb issue -- requests which the repug majority will as usual ignore

200 to rush out and try to raise re-election funds on the basis of the light bulb issue, claiming that only by supporting their re-election can this issue be resolved.

1 to issue a hard-hitting press release demanding answers from the B*sh Misadministration on why the light bulb was permitted to burn out.

3 or 4 to speak boldly about the light bulb issue late at night on C-span when Congress is not in session.

Half a dozen of them to criticize the current Misadministration's light bulb policies on the Sunday morning talk shows.

Almost all of them not to show up during a major, 500,000-person march on Washington demanding an end to burned-out lightbulbs.

Most of them to ignore constituents' requests that they stand up to the Misadministration and fight for light bulb change.

You will notice that after this, the light bulb remains burned out and nobody has done a damn thing about changing it except to talk about it.

Wake me up when the Democrats decide to do something for a change.
