Luskin on Rove's chances of being indicted: |
|
http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/nation/ny-usrove074458471oct07,0,5890347.storyAsked about his client's odds of being charged, Luskin told Newsday, "It is what it is. I don't want to comment on the chances. I'm not going to start grading this thing at, say 30 percent or 40 percent like the president's approval rating."

10. he means Rove is a victim of B's unpopularity |
|
that it would have not happened if B was still at 50+ or higher -- and he may have a point. But what he is also implying, of course, is that his client is innocent and Fitz is opportunistic, as in he did not indict Rove when B. was more popular but may indict him now. I suspect it's Rove's line as well.

it's the law that doesn't matter about popularity.

8. Perhaps he's alluding to the approval ratings being... |
|
...falsified. So he could mean the chances are 10%, or he could have just been taking a slap at Bush, and the chances are actually more like 90%. Whatever the case, kind of an odd thing to say.

Rove, indictment. Rove, indictment.
It will be beautiful.
:applause:  :D
Oh please please please please please please, giant magic genie if you really hear me up there, grant me this one wish--I know it's late for my birthday and early for the holidays, but still...
You know if the scud's own lawyer doesn't like his chances, those are not good chances. Grand jury, ham sandwich, etc.
So I'm going to stop by the party shop and pick up plenty of hats and crepe paper things. Looks like we're going to need them!

17. oh, well didn't you know it's all about partisan politics? Not treason. |

We are only going after Rove because we hate Bush, not because we want honesty and openness in government. If Bush numbers were up, it wouldn't be an issue--just like Clinton impeachment investigation. Rule of Law!!
Thanks for reminding us, Bob!
