Does Anybody read Michael Parenti? |
|
I just finished re-reading his "America Besieged" and I am still convinced that Parenti is the most articulate, most concise, easiest to understand voice of the Left.
His analysis are so on-target, years before events made them seem so; his criticisms seem very harsh but also very realistic; there are quite a few good authors on the Left, but I think Michael Parenti is doing the best job of articulating a populist/economic critique of the Right.

I've listened to him for years on KPFA and even met him in Berkeley one time at an anti-war protest in St Joesephs the Worker Church.
While I don't always agree with everything he says, like his current fawning over the EU, he is very articulate and passionate in his presentation.
