Michael Moore gets ready to roll
(snip)

Any information about a new Michael Moore film inevitably gets the juices flowing and tongues wagging. This time around, months before he was to begin shooting his new film --about Americas' ailing health care industry and provisionally entitled "Sicko" -- a gaggle of pharmaceutical companies launched a pre-emptive strike against him and the film.

At least six of America's largest pharmaceutical firms sent memos to their workers warning them to be on the lookout for "a scruffy guy in a baseball cap" who asks too many questions, the Guardian reported.

"We ran a story in our online newspaper saying Moore is embarking on a documentary -- and if you see a scruffy guy in a baseball cap, you'll know who it is" Stephen Lederer, a spokesman for Pfizer Global Research and Development, told the Los Angeles Times.

1. Ooooooo. That'll stop him.
:eyes:

Something tells me that if Mr. Moore is looking to do something, he'll get it done.

2. More power to ya Mike
Its no wonder the DLC has distanced itself from him, I remember attending a speech of his where he really took the party to task for its inaction.. and that was like 2 years ago... no difference.

My dad, who's opinion I respect as quite objective, said that he really like F 9/11, he said the over-dramatic part with the soldier's mother kind of ruined the previous footage which he says was "spot on" exactly what was happening at the time.

I can't wait for the next one.

3. I can't wait for this.
I also discovered the other day that he's got his first acting role (well, he's playing a reporter) in a movie called "The Fever" starring Vanessa Redgrave.

"A nameless person from a privileged world, suffering from a sense of disconnection from his (or her) comfortable life, travels to a country in the midst of civil war. Suddenly deliriously ill, the narrator collapses in a hotel bathroom, and confronts an internal chorus of conflicting voices: dreams of comfort, images of physical and economic violence, accusations of indifference, and cold-blooded arguments in favor of oppression. The central question: what, if anything, is a morally consistent way to live in the world as it is?"

It also features Angelina Jolie and is directed by Redgraves son Carlo Gabriel Nero.
