Here's what we do with Fred Phelps
I say we tie his ass to center stage at every single Motley Crue concert that occurs during their current tour "Carnival of Sins"

Phelps will be subjected to girls that do very naughty things to eachother to songs like "Shout At The Devil" and other oldies but of course goodies.

Every now and then Vince or Tommy should come by and pour some Jager all over his face.

Seriously though I happen to be very very passionate about his protesting soldier's funerals.

This is FAR from being an issue like the flag burning amendment. The flag is just a fucking piece of cloth made in Taiwan.

This is a person's LIFE we're talking about, and more importantly in this case this a man or woman who died for a lie who died by serving, who died by enlisting and pledging to defend our nation even if it meant the ultimate sacrifice.

If the Christian Taliban Republican party had any fucking decency they'd be pushing forward an amendment to ban protesting at a soldier's funeral if the protest was directed at insulting the fallen.

I don't know for a fact where Phelps and his CULT do their protesting, if they do it far away from the scene of the funeral that is one thing, if that is the case then alright you sick fuck that is an exercise of the 1st amendment even though I think you're a sick fuck who deserves the worst, however that's part of a free nation; having to deal with ideas that you find disgusting.

On the other hand though if this prick does his protesting right in view of the soldier's families eyes that to me should not fall under the 1st amendment. A funeral is a PRIVATE matter and as such anyone causing a disturbance should be immediately declared off the premises.

In Phelps case they should have their asses dragged face first out of fucking view.

1. They typically do their protests front and center, for maximum
attention. If there's a local ordinance prohibiting that, they might back off, but only then. Most communities have no need for laws like that until the Phelpses arrive in town...

3. I'm surprised that a fallen solder's friend or relative
has just beaten the living shit out of Phelps yet. If he showed up at a funeral of someone close to me who died for BFEE lies, I would.

9. I've always maintained that the day will come...
...when Phreaky Phred and his cult will show up at the wrong funeral, at the wrong time, and with the wrong survivors -- and get the crap beat out of him. Threatened lawsuits or not.

And I've got a bag of popcorn with his name on it when that happens.

10. This dis-barred lawyer and his fat lawyer piglets love to sue.
Physical confrontation is so craved by Phelps, he very likely gets a sexual rush from it. Don't give your power away. I learned in non-violent training the violent response to peaceful picketing is a powerful weapon to use against those who look very bad to the public for using it. You make the creep into a martyr, and possibly give him money to boot.

He deserves to see everyone's backs to him. He hates no publicity or notoriety worse than death itself.

14. You've got his number, all right. He craves confrontation, and loves
to make new enemies. If only we could find a way to make him and his entire "church" invisible.

4. This is what we need to do
if we know he is going to be protesting at a funeral in our area we need to get as many people as possible and put ourselves between them and the funeral - so the family doesn't have to witness these pigs. My brother lives in AL and he told me that recently Phelps came there to protest and enough people simply lined up to block them from the view of the family and people attending the funeral. No confrontation - nothing just blocked them out and then the police escorted Phelps to the state line. I think this is a great idea and I tried very hard to get this word out to the two guys who were substituting for Mike Malloy last night.

By the way my brother is way to the right of me politically - but he is military also - we're in complete agreement about the American Taliban - aka radical Christian right

5. i've always wanted to show up with even more whacky signs than
...they have: "Burn all sex sinners at the stake! "Stone the fornicators!" "Accept Christ or die!"

wait, that's about what they have now, isn't it.

OK, we show up with those stick figures (the ones that appear to depict homosexual sex) with Fred's head photoshopped on top....

You know that when fred goes to bed at night he waits until his lovely wife is asleep and then masturbates imagining a three-way with Bruce Willis and Wesley Snipes. the ones who complain the loudest are the ones deepest in the closet.

6. I don't know whether you could possibly top the Phelpses' signs,
but I'm sure you could write much funnier ones! Theirs are mostly of the "Fags die, God laughs" genre.

8. Matt's friends in Laramie had a simple, elegant solution to Phelps
They wore angel costumes with huge wings. Then spread the wings to block the protestors. Worked like a charm.

11. Sorry Man... Can't Do That
Freedom of Speech trumps our emotions. But I'll go along with giving him a beating. Forget about a Motley Crue concert. Let's throw him into a gay bar naked, so that everyone can see him grow a hard on.

15. I think you can if he protests right in the same area
Seriously as I said funerals are considered a private affair are they not? that stops ANYBODY from just showing up out of nowhere and joining the INVITED crowd.

Protesting away from the area, yea that's covered under freedom of speech but not being in the same standing area as the invited antendees.

All I know is whenever there's a funeral around here cops are all over the place half the time and interestingly whoever the corpse is usually has more security and protection than most living people I know.

17. Yes a 5th grade beating if you think a real one is too bloody
a 5th grade beating involves lots of schoolyard humiliation and wedgies till "Uncle" is cried
