Pigs, PIGS are flying high tonight 'cause Andrew
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 11:41 PM by Blue_Roses
Sullivan actually dissed Bush to the point of no return on Bill Maher's show tonight. I was excited to see Ben Affleck was a guest, but wow--no, WOW--Sullivan made the VERY CLEAR talking points AGAINST Bush. He is SO PISSED at this administration! I'm afraid--very afraid--that I'm might ...actually agree with Sullivan. Am I in the twilight zone...:crazy:

Unbelievable...

Damn, with Coulter pissed and Sullivan pissed at Bush this isn't fun anymore:evilgrin:

WRT NOLA, the Iraq War and other issues...you'd throw him back. On his lockstep support for this disgrace of a war (which he, by his orientation, HIV positive status, and age, is COMPLETELY PROTECTED from getting involved in) is nothing short of DISGUSTING. Stick the noble cause up yer arse, Andrew!!!

Go here, and be sure to peruse his archives, where most of his drumbeating is: http://www.andrewsullivan.com/

Fuck him, the warmonger. Some can say better late than never, but I say where the hell was he when it MATTERED? It's POPULAR and EASY to bash the monkey nowadays....everyone is doing it, save 27% of the country that are complete and total idiots.

I don't give the sun credit for coming up every morning, and that wishywashy, steroid-loaded, Quisling asshole-bastard gets no credit from me.

He supports a war that has killed my fellow servicemembers needlessly, has left widows, widowers, parents and children devastated, has ruined the lives of those who came back horribly maimed, when he will never have to go himself.

Again I say, fuck him!

He's a power whore, and I give him credit for nothing more than seeing which way the wind is blowing around the CAT IV Monkey White House hurricane. I'd trust him as far as I could toss him with one arm tied behind my back.

He should stick with whining about the Catholic church. He has no real understanding of American politics.

35. Andrew wrote this shit on 26 SEP of this year
Anyone who attends rallies organized by International ANSWER deserves no quarter and no hearing. And the notion that abruptly abandoning the beleaguered Iraqi people to the tender mercy of Jihadists is somehow "progressive" boggles the mind. As Hitch observed of the motley crew in Washington last weekend: "Was there a single placard saying, "No to Jihad"? Of course not. Or a single placard saying, "Yes to Kurdish self-determination" or "We support Afghan women's struggle"? Don't make me laugh."

Fuck him. He is so goddamn stupid, so full of his own hubris and blinded by something far worse than tunnel vision that he cannot even conceive of the concept of letting the UN help us out of this goddamn mess. And he takes that drunken popinjay Hitchens SERIOUSLY.

He is an ass of the highest order.

the people at that rally could give TWO SHITS about ANSWER. His words DENY their PURPOSE. They were there to bring the troops HOME, not support those clowns in any way, shape or form.

But no, he has to whine on about the agenda of the assholes on the stage in control of the microphone, and ignore, totally, the agenda of the people who were marching around the White House, the agenda of Cindy Sheehan, and the agenda of those who turned up at the concert after the march.

It's what he DOES...he is a Quisling wuss.

40. He voted for Kerry because he vacations in Provincetown MA
...and he could not possibly get a table at any of the good restaurants there had he claimed to vote otherwise.

MA is the one state that allows gay MARRIAGE--not civil unions, actual MARRIAGE--and that is a 'thing' with him. He whined about Kerry's position on the issue, but figured best to go with what his pals in PTown were saying, lest he never get that nice table on the patio by the beach.

All the while, he supports the Iraq war--let him go fight it, the chickenshit!

authentic Repubs who is willing to call 'em as he sees them! I think he is deeply saddened by the lack of ethics and morality that encompasses this presidency. I take him at his word when he says that he "trusted" Shrub to do the right thing. The betrayal is what has Sullivan sickened.

I like hearing him say I don't WANT TO WIN THIS WAY. I don't want to become like them.

IMHO, I think Andrew is a compassionate, moderate human being who has had enough. I admire his courage by speaking truth to power.

Sullivan stopped being a cheerleader for * a while back but tonight, you're right, he hit it. It was refreshing.

Coulter was wacked, more than usual. Why does Maher even have her on? That's one of the reasons I so rarely watch him anymore. I mean, he calls her a friend and sticks up for her? It just pisses me off that he talks about her so much or has her own. He legitimizes her.

Ben Affleck made some great comments. He showed he's become a pretty savvy politico. He knew his stuff too.

Rushdie spoke in my town last night but we couldn't make it. It was good to hear him tonight. It had some great perspectives on some issues.

how dare these coulter sullivan types betray an honest, hard working man when things are going tough? it's sad to see president bush, who has done more for ...he's helped define america, and has clean up any illusions too many held......the country didn't need new orleans and the wtc, very few presidents could have proven that! and few presidents could have proven that as long as the news says things are fine, even if they aren't...well, that's power the usa never knew it had! and now, for those who've been riding the bush rooster for years (remember ken starr? the guy made his fortune thanks to the bush family!) next thing, rush limbah will be saying things in questioning tone about president bush.....how low can they go!
a guy was lost in the desert for 6 months w/out water, and he survived very well...how? well he pretended he was living next to a lake! it helped that he was only pretending he was lost in the desert, but that's nitpicking.... president bush would understand, and applaud the courage and imagination.....
and we here at DU criticise him(!)

But from not paying much attention to her in person until now, I've realized that it's Coulter giveing off the most elitist, arrogant vibe that I've ever seen. 60. They mistakenly believed they we part of Bush's "we".
They knew a small group was going to thoroughly fuck the rest of the world, and they thought it sounded great. Then they discovered they were not part of that small group. Now they're pissed.

Stupid, selfish, hateful people. And very slow on the up-take. I haven't got an ounce of pity for any of them.
