Is This the Death of America? |
|
"With TV providing a ceaseless backdrop of the country's failings - a crippled and tone-deaf president, a negligent government, corruption, military atrocities, soaring debt, racial conflict, poverty, bloated bodies in floodwater, people dying on camera for want of food, water and medicine - it seemed things were falling apart in the land where happiness is promoted in the constitution."http://www.commondreams.org/views05/1008-32.htm

We are teetering on the brink. The 2006 elections will be the final curtain for us if the GOP, Bush enablers stay in control.
There is no way to impeach Bush unless we win back the House.

The disease of fascism still lurks, never fully eradicated. Like a bird flu we are in the middle of a pandemic.

My opinion: Recognizing harsh truths is great, dwelling in the house of doom and gloom is irresponsible.
YOU (whoever you are who is reading this) are MORE POWERFUL THAN 95% of the people on this planet - USE YOUR POWER EVERYDAY - you are otherwise abdicating moral responsibility.
The US population is less than 5% of the world population and if you are online reading a political forum - you are surely in the top 5% of the powerful on earth, whether you are a US citizen or not.
YOU are MORE POWERFUL THAN 95% of the people on this planet - USE YOUR POWER EVERYDAY - you are otherwise abdicating moral responsibility.

and the truth comes out. Must absolutely piss 'em the hell off.
I would like to remind folks that although Al Gore did not say he invented the internet as some asshats would have had you think he said, he did have a lot to do with the development of it. THANK YOU also to the U.S. Military, Bill Gates, AT&T, et al for giving us the "internets!"

5. No, look at what Camp Caseys are doing |
|
think what the families are doing, the massive marches for peace we just had in D.C. and out west here. How that will get to a screaming cacophany soon.
America's not dead. She needs a good colonic! There's some toxic shit hanging around!
They will not win...we ARE THE MAJORITY.

13. we are at a cross-roads in America |
|
the "American system" and the American empire are NOT sustainable ... we are abusers of the global economy and the global environment ... While American ideals espoused by our Founding Fathers remain, and should remain, the envy of the world, we, the custodians of those ideals have NOT remained true to them ...
so America, as it has been, must die, should die and will die ...
but if you interpret this, or me, as "anti-American", you fail to appreciate the degree to which i value the promise of what America could be ... with the right leadership and an enlightened and educated population, America could once again lead the world toward global peace and a better life for all living things on our planet ...
we must fight to destroy the now so that the future, imbued with the ideals of the past, can flourish ... we are, by necessity, at the brink of the dying of America ... and when the pain is known to all, and it will be, perhaps then, and only then, we will begin to fulfill our promise ...

17. i am convinced the bfee does not perceive america as do you... |
|
and i, my sense is that the bush family dynasty must be stopped, certain components of the rest will come together, but there is little doubt their malignant meddling has thrown this nation off kilter for decades; i am remiss, however, as to why our apathy were allowed to govern when our patriotism was impugned instead. not good.
the result imo is the bush admin, it's handlers & the remnants of the nixon admin, who have been shown once again, they are not capable of american governance vis-a-vis 'we the people' & must go, the sooner the better

is that i would look beyond just the bfee and those most visible in today's power elite for the evil that engulfs us ... the enemy we face has grappled for power long before there were bush's ...
i'm afraid too many see a change in which party controls the government as the solution but our enemies are sadly not quite as partisan as one might believe ...

the bfee itself is but one face, 'it' is without doubt a collusive amalgam; beyond what is clear to the eye, but i'm going for this 'gang that couldn't shoot straight' for openers come election 2006

never has a group been so quicker discovered as incompetent by stretching a supply line while trying to reenact the glory days :eyes: of hitler's blitzkrieg; what an utter farce of leadership they. nor did i see bill kristol anywhere else but with his white ass in a pundit's chair yapping the fiasco on  typical neocon gibberish as it is known today

America is not dead, or dying. She's preparing to shake a particularly nasty parasitic infection. After which she will slowly, but surely, regain her previous health and vigor.
