Interesting to note how CNN and British Media report Nobel Peace Winner
The Independent makes sure the reader knows he went public with the LIE about the Iraq war.

Didnt find a mention on the CNN web site. Interesting.

Compare this to CNN:

1. This is the line I like best in the UK version:
Edited on Sun Oct-09-05 01:00 AM by samdogmom
"In a dramatic rebuff to President George Bush, the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the man who dared to tell the Americans that the main plank of the US argument for waging war on Iraq was based on a lie."

Gee, why am I not surprised that this NEVER came up in the CNN report on the award.

EDIT: If you go to the CNN site, be sure to vote in the Poll. So far 64% feel this was a good decision by the Nobel judges.

2. Another thing about the link to the Independent
One of the links on the link you provided, the Independent is promoting sales by telling readers their will be a poster size map of the world in this Tuesday's paper- http://news.independent.co.uk/world/politics/article317979.ece What I find similar is that none of our papers would consider such a thing. Half the US high school seniors could not find Iowa on a map. And is often said, the only good thing about US wars is that is how we learn our geography.

5. the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation noted that he had opposed ...
... going into Iraq before the inspections had been completed. They said that right after reporting that the White House had sent him a congratulatory message, for being awarded the Peace Prize!
