Everybody in Iraq should join the military.
On one side or the other. At least they would have some kind of means to protect themselves from the hostility.

It's one thing to risk your life by running around looking for people to kill. It's another to risk your life with little protection and the realization that anything you do can be your end and anybody can shoot you down any minute. Well if they were militant, they would have a little bit better protection from it all. Wouldn't they?

Just a random thought.

1. I doubt it...
I'm sure even random militants probably get blasted to bits by car bombs on occasion when they are on thier off time.

2. I'm surprised * hasn't asked Americans to donate guns.
According to NRA/Republican philosophy, if every Iraqi had a gun and some ammo, the situation would magically stabilize!

Furthermore, a gun drive for Iraq would get guns out of the hands of Americans, thus making it that much easier for the fascists to clamp down when martial law comes.

Like in Vietnam, Where Halliburton was the only one that made a killing.

4. I was having a similar thought...but maybe a humanitarian
mission.. Like a million Americans go to Iraq and protest for peace with Iraqi's. We help them rebuild for free. We teach them, nurse them to health, feed them, tell them that we as citizens care about their citizens. Although it would never happen, I wonder how long the fighting would go on if a million+ citizens showed up to be with them?

Imagine.
