1. Poverty/crime
real poverty,experienced daily, may change that. Having "been there,done that" I know what it can do to people. Even the truly good hearted ones. Principles are often too heavy when the belly is empty. Even hope sometimes highlights the ache

4. people making bad choices caues crime
But poverty does make certain type of choices easier. Some people would be criminals no matter what, a larger group of people would be criminals if faced with certain inducements nad the opportunity. One key to fighting crime is to keep this second group as small as possible, by seeing people have opportunities.

6. Poverty does NOT make certain type of choices easier
When one lives in poverty, there are fewer choices... compounded w/desperate need... not choices.

7. I did phrase that wrong
I mean to say that if you have a lot of doors to go through, nad one of them is Crime well some people would go through it anyway. But if you only have a very few doors, than the Crime door seems more prominent - that's what i meant.
