Was a deal made with Miers for Roe?

I was listening to This Week and Sen. Specter was asked if he would call Dobson and KKKarl Rove as witnesses. He said he would call whoever he needed to to find out what Dobson knew about the selection and whether any deals were made about how she would vote.

I noticed that in addition to Dobson, that the Baptist anti-abortion guy on MTP this morning was in favor of Miers and kept saying that the public (he meant the base, clearly) should "trust" the president.

Specter was very upset at the notion that a deal might have been made, but later said he was sure that Miers would not do this.

We must find out what Dobson was told, what he "knew" that he "probably shouldn't know." Clearly unethical, and totally fits every act of this administration if they did make a deal. Of course, we strongly suspect this, but it will be interesting if WH people are called.
