Rights for the Outsourced
There is a lot of talk about people losing their jobs because they are being outsourced to other countries.

Most people think that banning Outsourcing would be a good idea.

I have an Alternative.

How about this:

We as Americans, demand that Outsourced Workers have the same Rights and Protections as a Worker here in the United States.

It will:

A. Improve our standing in the world

B. Decrease Outsourcing

C. Help us return to power in 2006 and then deal with the Criminals that caused this to happen

Who thinks this is a good idea?

2. A minimum wage for starters
An outsourced worker does not get that right in most of the countries that the job is outsourced to.

3. As a professional who has been jobless for nearly three years
is this going to put money into my pocket?

Didn't think so....

6. LOL. I guess you could say that's bush's standards, not American.

7. Trying to impose the standards on the Company, not on the Nation
For example, if AT&T outsources jobs to India, we need to make sure that AT&T gives their workers the same Rights (such as a Minimum Wage) as they do over here.

9. "You have to quit doing more of that which is chasing them offshore."
Things like what?

Demanding a wage that can support the cost of living?

5. During the 2004 Dem debates this came up a lot.
Several of the candidates said that these free trade agreements should include some sort labor standard (environmental too).

Standards might include:
8 hr work day/40 hr week
overtime pay (who knows if we have that here?)
workers comp program
OSHA standards (weakened here over the past 20 hears)
severence pay/unemployment pay
