and three stations with programming on our glorious invasion of Iraq. So much for the Science Channel, the History Channel, National Geographic, and Discovery. Do they all get orders from the WH for programming or what? Oh, one of the HBOs had a program on 9/11.

even if they can somehow prove the existence of every single town/village/location in the bible, that still doesn't mean that Jesus existed any more than the fact that New York exists proves Spiderman is real..

Meanwhile, I'm pretending like the humans are all neocons and other extremists. Aliens think they taste good with ketchup.

10. I believe there was a jesus......... |
|
I believe he existed and was a radical force in that time period, I just don't believe all this "son of god" stuff or god at all for that matter. The historical jesus versus the biblical jesus are two very different subjects. If people realized how much their religion was culled piecemeal from other, more ancient religions and formed into christianity, they'd be amazed. Like a patchwork quilt. Very few WANT to know that however, they'd rather believe in the "one true religion" crap. :eyes:

11. I believe that too. I also have come to believe that |
|
the pursuit of religion is a pursuit of the essential good in all mankind. That the concept of God is just the embodiment of the "godliness" of man. I also have come to believe that organized religions are a means to power and control.
