My DU Creed
I believe that both the 2000 and 2004 Presidential Elections
were Stolen
I believe that George W Bush is the worst President in the history of
America
I believe that bush is just a mouth piece for powerful interests
I believe that we were lied into an unneeded war with Iraq
I believe that the fact bin Laden has not been accounted for is a crime
I support our troops but that does mean I support the policies that
put them in harms way
I believe that the large sections of the media are corrupt and or lazy
and have failed in their chief purpose ..... to give factual accounts of the
news
I believe that large sections of the media are used by powerful forces
to demonize liberals, to put out half truths, and to distract the public with
non news stories
I believe that faith is a private matter, and in some cases very important
to that person; but there should be a wall between church & state.
I believe that nothing is more American then, "I disagree with what you
say but I will defend to the death your right to say it
I believe that posts by Botany are like a cool breeze on a June evening
when you are sitting outside with family and friends after a fine meal.
I attend the great church of the DU where we help each through our
"mental issues" ..... Everybody else has the problem .... not me.

And just lately I have come to believe that John Roberts is a gay man
who lives in a cover marriage with a ready made family and was placed
one the Supreme court so as to provide cover to the bush crime family.

2004, I don't believe, was strictly stolen, especially not if I believe as I currently do that elections should be settled only on plurality of popular vote. I have never seen convincing proof of 3.1M stolen votes. I've seen allegations, innuendo, and "how-they-could-have" suggestions, but no proof.

I saw "it" with my own eyes & I heard "it" with my own ears.

http://www.thousandreasons.org/get_article.php?article_id=13

And across the country too.
Colorado for example 100,000 people voted for liberal pro choice
democrat for US senator but then voted for bush as president? Please.

Indiana 7 counties .... a straight party ticket (dems only) flipped your vote
to a 3rd party candidate

New Mexico every county that used optiscan went to bush in 2004 .... even
counties that went to Gore in 2000 and had more registered democrats in
2004

and on and on

30.  FEENEY is fighting to render the verified voting
bill(s) meaningless- to make the paper trail into toilet paper or whatever the local operatives want it to be, Don't let them http://vvlobbydays.blogspot.com 2 active petitions. Tell them to pass the Russ Holt's bill HR 550
Tom Feeney rememmber his name -Clinton curtis testified about him-well now he is pushing his own bogus Voter's rights bill, the right to flush it.

Also as far as Robert's protecting the Bush crime family- geez now his personnel lawyer, close fawning friend is a nominee- how pathetic. Well at least she has had a 30 year long semi-romatic relationship- maybe she's even had semi-sex-probably about as much as Mr.s Roberts.
BTW there are some folks who are not much interested- either way straight or gay BTW-just NO real desire -my ex just like to pat his cat- that was about it-no not the P.-seriously just his cat, his twin brother too-never had a boy or girl friend-just cats.
Great post BTW!
thanks for the above link Botany.

16. Did you see proof in 2000?
Hanging chads were enough for you then?

The long lines in Ohio, the broken machines there making the lines even longer, People waiting 4 to 12 hours to vote, having their cars towed, having to leave to get their children, losing their jobs because they stayed to vote, flyers telling the communities of color in democratic areas that THEIR day to vote was Wednesday and not Tuesday, The voter registration company that shredded registrations from democrats only (in more than one state, mind you), the purging of the voting rolls in many states ... etc.

They didn't HAVE to flip the machines because they discouraged the voters (documented by statements made by the Ohio governmental officials that just happened to be GOPers), Diebold promising to deliver the Ohio votes to blivet**... they didn't have to do it but they did just because they needed a number high enough for people to give them the benefit of the doubt. They can't have that benefit with me. I have seen the head of the beast and recognize it well.

You will never live long enough to see the proof ... neither will I. But it's there, others know it and will some day tell their tales of woe to save their mortal souls.

That, I have no doubt about at all.

Welcome to DU. You don't have to agree with me or Botany at all to be welcome here. We are a "big tent" here. :hi:

29. Lurked over there quite a bit.
But after checking it all out, doing a bit of stats myself, and doing a bit of research myself, I haven't seen anything that would remotely stand up in a court. Therefore, we have allegations and innuendos and suggestions aplenty, but little real *proof.* Nothing that could prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, but enough to fuel quite a few conspiracy theories (and I say 'conspiracy theory' in as non-demeaning of a fashion as I can). But this isn't the place for a flamewar over it. I'll just take my reality, and you can take your reality, and I suppose I should just try to avoid forcing those realities to meet in a violent fashion.

27. My own DU Creed
Edited on Sun Oct-09-05 07:00 PM by Heaven and Earth
I believe that George W. Bush is the worst president in the history of America. It would be right and just to impeach him.
I believe that the right of American citizens to vote and have it count as they intended is sacrosanct.
I believe in checks and balances, and that corruption that threatens those protections must be rooted out and destroyed.
I believe that continuing the Iraq war will force a draft or destroy our army, and that we must withdraw now.
I believe that the greatest threats to our national security are nuclear proliferation and terrorism, and that neither have been addressed.
I believe that long term deficits and massive debt must be brought under control, without destroying social security, medicare, and medicaid.
I believe that the threat of increasing income inequality to our society has been exacerbated, and must be addressed.
I believe that GLBT people deserve every right under the law that non-GLBT people have.
I believe that science needs governmental support without governmental interference.
I believe that I can be a good Christian and support a comprehensive interpretation of the Establishment Clause.
I believe that Democrats win when they stand up for themselves, and clearly contrast who they are and what they believe with Republicans.

I am a DU Democrat

I believe that DU is a forum for discussion, not a platform from which to proselytize my beliefs.

I believe that my opinions are just that, my opinions. They are not the "truth."

I believe that if other people don't agree with me, they're not heretics, they just don't agree with me.
