This is choice, Reid has hamstrung Dimson on this one...

- Reid SUGGESTS Mier to Dimson, and he took the bait, hook-line-and-sinker. It appeals to his 'crony gene'.

- Reid KNOWS that an 'unknown' and not the HARD RIGHT will make the NeoCon Masses INSANE and most other repub's as well.

- Reid and other Dem's make 'mostly complimentary' words on her and realy avoid ANY criticism, but no 'judicial praise'. In other words, mildy positive to neutral.

- Meanwhile, the 'Pugs are going BALLISTIC, and by the time it's done expect to see either she never makes it out of committee or enough 'pugs vote AGAINST her that she's never confirmed, mind you it may get so bad that he withdraws the nomination.

- Now, shold all this happen and Dimson goes to the Ultra-Reich....

THE DEMS ARE FREE TO OPEN FIRE, FILLIBUSTER AND GO AT IT TOOTH AND NAIL...

the rethoric of "They're nothing but obstructionists' is dead-on-arrival.. they didn't do ANYTHING to stop Mier (except perhaps vote with some other 'pugs, and then how's that 'obstructionist' when the 'pugs are doing the same thing.

If the repugs kill off Mier's nom then Georgie is going to have no choice other than to go further to the right. Even so Mier is looking to be severely antichoice and having no judicial experience she is going to vote more on her emotions than on case law.

the radical fundies would put out the word that the dems will oppose her so they can keep quiet and let us take her down. After making some noise about shutting down the Senate, the Dems caved and let Owens, Brown & Prior onto the Bench for life.

Those would have to be three of the most extreme nominees ever placed before the Senate-

Under Reid's "leadership," the Dems have give Bush and the far right every single thing that they've asked for. I see no indication that the embarrassing performance is about to change any time soon.

they have consistently (with a few wonderful exceptions) sold out Americans for the corporate interests.

We watched the GOP when they were the minority party -- they were tough and mean and they fought dirty.

The dems are wimps -- and Reid's voting record is piss poor awful.

He isn't on "our" side -- and laugh every time Reid "acts" tough and posters here at DU are so thrilled at Reid's act.

Reid has ALWAYS been an enemy of women -- and he will never ever change.

trolling rightwing sights and expressing my extreme displeasure with Miers. I am stoking the fires and enjoying the show. I even called a local talk show on the government channel pretending to be one of their own and stoked the fires of discontent.
