Has Miers withdrawn yet?
Knowing from the Bush past - that they do not like to procrastinate - we could look for them to discuss the matter tomorrow morning and by tomorrow evening or Tuesday morning, she would make her announcement, if indeed, she plans on withdrawing. If they do not withdraw the name in the next couple of days, my guess is that the White House will try to push her thru the committee and win on the Senate floor? Just my guess.

1. Bush acknowledge a mistake? Never!
This isn't a Bernie Kerik situation where he was actually guilty of unethical/criminal activities; this is simply another loyal crony, whom W has seen the "heart" of. Unless she decides she can't take the heat, he won't show her the door.

2. You make an excellent point....
That would be the first mistake he has made..but, if Miers comes out and says she doing it to keep from dividing the Party and for the good of the country, it would look like it was her "decision"....not Bush's ...

3. "Withdraw?" "back down?" "mistake?" . . .
Grab hold of your senses!! Since when does George Walker Bush (who talks to God) ever admit to a mistake? Egads. He walks on water. Haven't you heard?

5. A sign from God!
I remember that a few hours after Bush announced Meirs as his nominee the Rev. Dobson stated that he was asking for a sign from God as to whether or not to support the nominee.

Then he met with Bush and started supporting her.

Bush must have shown him something. Perhaps they just don't want to share.

7. Love that picture and quote from bush.........
but you're wrong about that being bush's litmus test. He HAS NO litmus test, Scottie has assured us of that over and over as has bush himself. And I believe my president wouldn't lie to us, no, not a president that talks to god. :sarcasm: :banghead: :silly: :wow:  :puke:
