Hurricane Vince
has formed.

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

The good news is, its a minimal Hurricane, and expected to weaken considerably before it makes landfall in Portugal.

The bad news is it's Vince, and the precursors of Wilma and Alpha are thought to be developing in the Atlantic.

9. Well, of course in a perfect world...
No one would get tagged by these things. I'm just whining because I just took the storm shutters down a few weeks back.

5. A rare phenomenon

At least the drought in Portugal will end. A few years ago London experienced severe winds from the remains of a tropical system. Global warming is real.

6. Brazil
I read that hurricanes have hit Portugal before, if rarely.

What had not happened before was the hurricane that formed in the South Atlantic in early 2005 during our spring (their autumn) and made landfall in Brazil.

(No, we can't possibly relate this to global warming can we.)

11. Wicasa, there is no such thing as global warming.
Let's just keep saying it over and over, that'll make it true.
