Help millions of people hear Mike Malloy and Randi Rhodes
DIRECTV reached an agreement with XM Satellite Radio!!!

Starting on November 15, 2005 DIRECTV TV will broadcast to their customers up to 72 channels of XM's music, children’s and talk programming.

Full details of the XM channel lineup are still being determined, so please stay tuned to DIRECTV.com for the latest information about this exciting new programming.

Maybe..... if DIRECTV hears that you would like Air America XM channel 167 be included in their channel line up, it might help them determine what to air and what not to air.. Regardless if you are a DIRECTV customer or not, please send them an e-mail requesting Air America. It is an opportunity for Air America to be heard by millions of people who have never heard Left Wing Talk Radio.

Thanks for writing. We have reached an agreement with XM Satellite Radio that will allow us to provide DIRECTV customers with up to 72 channels of XM's music, children’s and talk programming. The new XM service will begin on November 15, 2005 in the 800 channels currently used by Music Choice. DIRECTV has ended it's contract with Music Choice, but will continue to air their programming until XM Satellite Radio starts.

5. I wrote them this morning
I told them I would switch from my cable if they had AAR. I got an answer this afternoon saying they did not have it presently but would forward my letter to the program director. They said that customer input is very important. I listen on my computer all day but would love to have it on the TV.

9. My email and DTV reply

As a former DirecTV customer, I am excited about the possibility that Air America may be offered by DTV. If you do in fact offer this service I will definately look into moving from Dishnet back to DTV which I had for nearly 6 years.

Sincerely,

Joe StClone

13. Send mail to AAR also...
the reason that most of the talk stations will not be on the DirecTV feed is contract issues (here we go with that again), URGE AIR AMERICA to get their XM feed on DirecTV...

If THEY start the push, it will clear the contract issues quickly...

17. Aw that figures...
...son'bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAD friggin DirecTV at my old DUMP (my crackhead--yes, she REALLY IS--sister's dumpy condo) but said FUKU cuz I hardly watch TV (since most is CRAP!) and my friggin girlfiend at the time brow-beat my ass into getting it, YAY, and now my dad's got DISH! When AAR started up, they were SUPPOSED to have a deal go thru to put AAR on Dish, but it apparently never went through. JUST MY FRIGGIN LUCK. Wait until I post about my shit job, and how these bastards REFUSE to hire anybody else (despite what they say, lying assholes!) and we're short 4 people...we WERE short 6 PEOPLE just 2 days ago. I swear, FUCK YOU JEB and you goddamn retard repukes for making FloriDUH the BIGGEST SHITHOLE for finding a goddamn job that pays better than peanuts and doesn't run their employees into the ground. Asshole! PIECE OF CRAP!

21. DirecTV and XM Radio

From what I hear on the DirecTV/XM Radio deal, XM will be replacing DirecTV's current Music Choice channels with music channels from XM's programming.

XM will also provide channels of ORIGINAL XM talk programming, meaning shows like Opie & Anthony, and others wholly produced by XM.

Which leaves shows like Mike Malloy and Randi Rhodes, and all those produced outside XM, off DirecTV.

In order for DirecTV to carry these shows, the shows themselves, or the networks they are carried on, will have to make seperate deals with DirecTV directly.

So if you want to hear Air America, or any other "outside XM" show on DirecTV, you will have to contact those shows/networks directly and ask them to work up a deal with DirecTV.
