DEMOCRACY IS: "Committed Investment in Human Potential".
That is what "Democracy" is to me, without regard to people's "basic" goodness or evil for whatever "reason",...I belive "Democracy" is a commitment to human potential.

What is DEMOCRACY to you?

1. "Investment in Human Potential"? But we spend perhaps 500 times
more on educating students with learning disabilities than we do for gifted students. I believe student populations have about the same percentage of gifted and learning disabled.

Without taking anything away from students with learning disabilities, I support equal funding for gifted students. They are the scientists and researchers they will lead us into the 22nd century.

You know, the old "Democracy is a rotten form of government. It's just that it's the best we've come up with so far" saw.
