It is all relative. In other parts of the world, American women dress like sluts period. There are standards that vary greatly depending on where you come from.

When I lived down South for a couple of years I noticed that women wore more makeup going to the grocery store and dressed better when just going to the grocery store than we in the midwest. I also noticed that stores let people in to shop without shoes. Little differences, yes, but differences nonetheless.

For me to get my nose bent out of shape because Laura's outfit is too tight, or her undies are showing is so beyond ridiculous that I have to laugh and think that we Democrats are showing our shallowness and lack of character by gossiping about Laura's clothes.

The worse that Laura dresses the better I think it is for us. If she truly was dressing horribly, it would just make it even easier to pull them off of their perch. But with the comments about what she is actually wearing now, it just appears like a bunch of women with nothing better to do than gossip about what the President's wife is wearing. How pathetic is that?
