I remember saying that these were the questions. The answers will depend on who you are...

Here is the point folks, welcome to the battle for the soul of the Democratic party. We are at a cross roads, and the questions are... should we go on the road chosen further to the right (which in my view leads to irrelevancy and the death of the party), or take the fork, which is a return to our populists roots (at least going back to 1900 or so)

If we decide to take the fork, I believe it will be better for the country in the long run, but it will be painful Those who control the avenues of power, the party machine, will fight us tooth and nail, as we see here

We also need to talk to the American People again, about Health Care, Workers Rights, the Union movement, national security, the fact that republican run wars go badly, and democrats can run wars. There are many issues, but we need to decide what the party is going to look like... and what we are seeing is people fighting this... for they believe in the corporatist structure. I keep citing history, we have been here before, the gilded age... and we shook it. That time around it TOOK the formation of the Populist Party... the ball is in many ways in the court of the DLC, who has indeed lost far more than won... if they decide they don't want to play well with each other... so be it... the consequences will be severe.

But as I said, the battle is now joined... and it will not be pretty.
