The Republicans are politicizing crime
That should be our response to the Republican talking point of "ciminalizing politics".

1. Message to GOP pols: stop committing felonies, we won't prosecute you.
The restoration of law and order starts in the White House.

No justice, no peace.

6. Good job, Walt, Good job.
This one is as funny as Bush's new slogan for his use of the military to quarantine people when the bird flu hits, "Starve a Cold, shoot a fever."

(That came off Air America.)

8. Better response
Simply ask the speaker;

"Weren't you the guys trying to make a Federal Case out of a Blowjob?"

9. EXCELLENT, but it wouldn't play well on CNN
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 08:20 AM by Walt Starr
I think the prudish attitudes of the talking heads would stop that one from happening, but it would definitely play well on liberal radio!

10. So change the last word to one "acceptable" by CNN et al
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 08:19 AM by maine_raptor
The point is to show how utterly idiotic the whole Clinton thing was and at the same time how the politicization of crimes ALREADY happened back then.

11. SANITIZED VERSION: You are the guys who tried to make a federal case
out of a blue dress.

12. Try "oral sex" instead of "blue dress"
After all that was what the MSM was using instead of words like blowjob, hummer, and the like back then.

But the idea is the same, contrast what the Repugs were going after Clinton for back then and what the crimes are now (outing a CIA agent, corruption, cronyism, etc.). By making the contrast stark, it makes any "defense" (such as politicizing crime, "everyone does it", and such other crap they throw out) even more absurd.
