PoliceCrimes.Com - Documented Cases Of Police Brutality By State. Yours?
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 08:43 AM by DistressedAmerican
Was doing some research on the topic given accusation in another thread that I am "cop bashing".

I found this well documented site:
http://flyservers.com/members5/policecrime.com/

It contains a page that lists accounts of police brutality by state.

My home state of New York was a pretty ugly read. Not that I didn't already know that. We are home to one of America's nastiest urban police forces.

How's your state doing?

Check and find out:

Maybe that is it. Otherwise, I am left thinking people just do not give a shit if the cops beat up (or shoot for that matter) a 64 year old black man in the streets.

3. But what about Rodney King?
I remember that being a huge story, and a lot of people were pissed off about the whole thing for years. Why aren't we seeing that type of thing over this particular case?

4. Maybe Because The Results Of The King Case Traumatized America?
Too scared to make much of an issue?

I can not explain the vagaries of behavior found in this population. If I could, I would have expected the people to have turned on Bush far sooner.

Hell they have worked so hard to desensitize us to torture, I guess I would not be surprised if they didn't give a shit about an old school cop beating.

Ask America. Maybe they can tell you what their problem is.

6. Police come from the same pool that gives us teachers,
lawyers, pro athletes. every single occupation has its "miscreants".
is it possible a certain type of person is drawn to law enforcement?
Is their number of rapists, thieves, embezzlers higher than other professions?

There are some sick puppies from Washington who like 9 to 12 year old girls...
