LOGO Channel

I've had this GLBT channel on my digital-cable lineup for two weeks now. As a proud Straight-But-Not-Narrow member of my (Democratic/Blue!) community, I love it! It is an oasis of movies, documentaries, and other shows all about GLBT issues.

I can't help wondering, though: How many communities in this now all-too anti-gay nation are banning this channel from their lineups?

Come on, people--HATE IS NOT A MORAL VALUE!!!! Nufsed.

2. I've had it for a couple months now

Maybe 2 or 3 months, I don't remember exactly. I've noticed that a lot of the stuff seems to be repeating already. Everytime I look for something on that channel, it is repeats of stuff I've already seen or wasn't interested in before. I like how they play music videos between programs. But I have seen a particular Erasure video about 50 times! (Do they still do this music video thing? It's been a while)

Anyway, I'm straight but I think it's great.

3. I have Direct tv & Direct tv carries it.

All we had to do was ask for it & we got it.

I have DirecTV and it just suddenly showed up on my list of channels. Maybe I have a different package. :shrug:

7. I should clarify

I was one of a group of people to ask Direct tv to carry the Logo channel before it went online.

They have Logo on the Comcast system throughout the Chicago area...ironically it's next to a fundie religious channel.

I've been a longtime fan of Black Entertainment Television...especially when they had Tavis Smiley on regularly...and finding this channel on most cable systems was difficult...if the channel was there at all.

A good friend has had even more troubles. He's moved several times over the years and into areas where the channel either wasn't available or he had to pay a premium to get it. One area he lived in told him the local cable operator wouldn't carry the "nigger channel"...some good customer relations, eh?
