16. I don't either but the potential problem is that
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 10:23 AM by KurtNYC
people in the subway will be panicked by these fake warnings and something will spook them into crushing each other trying to get out of the subway system.

How fast can 200 people get through this thing?:

I think it is very dangerous of Bloomberg to hype his hysteria while doing nothing to address the pragmatic side of how the subway could be evacuated in a REAL emergency. In London you can get out of most stations without going through something that will create a deadly bottleneck. So far the MTA is far more worried about fare-beaters.

What if there is an actual real threat? I don't take them seriously and I'm sure other people in NYC don't either. What if there is a real threat and people get hurt cause they don't take it seriously? This is all very dangerous.

Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 10:23 AM by jsamuel
They make it up to stop the torture!!!!!!!

I don't know that the guy was tortured, but...

http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/29318.htm

"One source said the snitch has even admitted to interrogators he made it up. But authorities said they're now satisfied that the three suspects, arrested in Iraq last week, are not al Qaeda members, as the informant..."

32. Didn't fail. It worked fine.
Distracted and muddied media coverage of various scandals which should ahve people rioting in the streets called for this entire administration to be yanked out of office.

Instead, Roves return to the Grand Jury got bracketed by Bushes highly advertised rehash of a major speech and this subway kneejerk.

Karl Who?

Odds are, one prominent reporter could do a days digging and find damning ties between this "hoaxer" and some major players in the Pentagon, CIA, FBI or White House. But, after Rathers lynching, what reporter has the balls?

(sounds of crickets chirping in the darkness)

That we all knew this. I think even the media knew this - but it didn't stop them from hyping it to the limit. And it's not like they're stopping - did anyone notice the front page of USA Today? The two main headlines scream "NOT ENOUGH NUKE VACCINES!" & "BIRD FLU: Imagine what would happen if a Category 5 viral storm hit every state!!!"

30. The only thing that would surprise me is
is there really was an informant who then decided to lie about a subway attack. Do they really color us as stupid? The administration continues in its arrogance that assumes the masses have an IQ of 80.

What's sad is that it's costing millions for NYC to respond. I bet New Yorkers are really pissed! If not they will be when their city taxes rise again to cover these hoaxes.

42. Inherent Uncertainty
This illegitimate government intentionally and maliciously works to divide We The People. One of their most common techniques for doing so is creating inherent uncertainty. If we can't recount the votes, we can't possibly know who won an election; if the irreconcilable contradictions in the official 9/11 story can't be investigated, we'll never know what really happened; if government officials flatly say the opposite of things they've already said...well you get the idea.

How do we know it didnt just come from a Rove loyalist?

When you cant verify the source of information you must assume it came from the enemy.

48. "unreliable informant"
I don't understand how they were saying it was an "informant known to be unreliable." How could they know that for certain unless he'd lied to them before? I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be the same informant that spread the "WMD" message. Although, Rove is turning out to be a pretty unreliable informant as well - he has to keep changing testimony over & over again.
