I think it is very dangerous of Bloomberg to hype his hysteria while doing nothing to address the pragmatic side of how the subway could be evacuated in a REAL emergency. In London you can get out of most stations without going through something that will create a deadly bottleneck. So far the MTA is far more worried about fare-beaters.

I don't understand how they were saying it was an "informant known to be unreliable." How could they know that for certain unless he'd lied to them before? I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be the same informant that spread the "WMD" message.
