Government by Temper Tantrum - Manifestly Unfit to Be President
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 10:50 AM by RamboLiberal
Ok, it's Capitol Hill Blues and Doug Thompson - but we've all seen the evidence and MSM mags like Newsweek and Time are starting to report this info. IMHO a lot of this is true. We just need some WH staffer to go public.

http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_7509.shtml

<snip>

“He’s out of control,” one White House aide says privately. “There’s no other way to put it. His anger spills over in meetings. He berates anyone who brings him bad news but there's not a lot of good news we can bring the President right now. He calls other Republicans 'motherfucking traitors' and it is becoming more and more of a challenge to keep that anger from showing in public.”

<snip>

The mainstreamers have long joked about Bush’s temper tantrums but have only recently started writing about them.

“There's a doctoral dissertation to be written about Bush appointees named during the administration's frequent fits of Petulant Pique,” Molly Ivins writes. “These PP appointments are made in the immortal childhood spirit of "nanny-nanny boo-boo, I'll show you.”

<snip>
Journalist Andrew Stephan of The Observer in London wrote Oct 17, 2004:

“A senior Republican, experienced and wise in the ways of Washington, told me last Friday that he does not necessarily accept that Bush is unstable, but what is clear, he added, is that he is now manifestly unfit to be President.”

That was nearly year ago. Since then the situation has only gotten worse.

4. I'm beginning to believe him

I used to think this guy was "out to lunch" but it's becoming more believable. Why? Here are a couple of recent examples:

Remember the report that Bush*'s aids had to almost "draw straws" to see who would tell Bush* he had to cut his vacation short? They were afraid to tell him because of his temper.

Remember that Bush*'s staff had to prepare a DVD of the damage in NO before he would take it seriously? Again, he wasn't being told the bad news from his closest advisers because they were afraid of his temper.

Look at our friend Zombywolf's post (I'll post the link in a minute) just this morning about George and Laura appearing on NBC where but "chides" the reporter for repeating "Democratic Party" talking points. Sounds a lot like what Doug Thompson describes here:

"He berates anyone who brings him bad news but there's not a lot of good news we can bring the President right now."

In other words, Thompson may be exaggerating but only a little bit. The petulant behavior is becoming public more and more.

6. bush is a bully
and someone who does not give a shit who he is, what bush thinks or just isn't threatened by Bush;s bully bullshit ,needs to face that spoilt boy and smack him down HARD .So he will keep his temper checked,and act civil lest he get another whap.This is because bush has no consience,Sociopaths like bush don't feel any remorse or empathy like human beings do so they only understand there are limits on how you conduct yourself through restrictions or being "topped"or smacked down... If the peopl;e in the whitehouse are acting like a bunch of enablers scared of his temper... than it will take someone NOT scared of an abusive piece of shit to take him and smack him down in public and humiliate the living shit out of him and get him to show his true ugliness and not be enabled or excused.Maybe the reson they don't let bully boy fend for himself in public is they are enabeling him similar to the spouse who calls the boss because the abuser has a hangover..Remember abusive relationship dynamics?.
