Rethugs are pretending @Harriett! They want the Chimp to GO!

Am I the only one to believe that the Rethugs are pretending that they don't want Harriett as a reason to turn on Bush?

I believe that they see the indictments on the wall, DeLay going down, the War in a mess, their precious BASE saying, " Let's Get Out of Iraq" and on and on.

So, they latch onto Cool Harriett and bash her out of the water.
It is just an excuse to finally say , "we are leaving you in droves Chimp!"

Bye, Bye!

1. No, I think they are geniunely put out about it
The far right has lived two decades for this Supreme Court appointment. Imagine waiting two decades, thinking about it like a 4 year old thinks about Christmas morning, then after 25 years having Christmas, and your brother gets the cool stuff and you get a pair of socks.

They're pissed to the max, to the core. If things weren't going so badly, they might hang with Bush, but he's got no street cred right now.

6. I believe they wanted a rethug HARD CORE

Conservative that has the light from Jesus glowing when they walk.

And, I know they are angry about this light weight Meiirs, but there have been other issues that they could have jumped on.

Before, anything-absolutely anything that he did they adored him and understood the Chimp.

Now, it is no turning back.

Do you think they believe that if they forced Bush to leave that Cheney would give them who they want ...if he's not in jail by that time?

2. No, I think she's one of the final straws ...
... they wanted friggin' Attila the Hun to be the next SCOTUS choice, as opposed to a 'friend of George' with no paper trail of fundie atrocities.

Miers, combined with Roberts (who fundies still think may be an unknown quantity), and the 'big spending liberal' post-Katrina policies of the compassionate Pretzeldunce :puke: pushed them closer to the edge.

3. Yes. I got that distinct impresssion watching Coulter on Maher.
They won't admit they were wrong on everything leading up to now (although time has revealed they were wrong), they need something to hang their loyalty shift on but they want to save face.....

4. No, you're not the only one.
I've thought that too. The freepers I interact with occasionally online have spent so much time repeating Shrub's lies about Iraq and WMD they'd feel pretty stupid eating crow in public. That has to go double for the RW talking heads. But after what happened in NOLA they just flat-out don't trust him any more, plus they are pretty pissed off about the price of gas. So they just latched onto the first NEW excuse to dump him that presented itself. It had to be a new excuse, simply because they have too much ego invested in the old ones.

8. That's it exactly ~ they need an Excuse" to diss him

and they have tested the waters and they are realizing the waters are fine.

They would not keep doing this if Rove could get them back in line but the horse is out of the door, IMO.

5. And maybe
they don't even know they feel that way. They just know that this is not a good nomination and it makes it easier to just can the whole lot of them.

7. Sure hope they are finally waking up

They have been asleep for so so long.

Miers must be the very last straw because they don't even try to defend him anymore.

moving us to the extreme. I am sure that many of them can see the writing on the wall. He's risking their agenda, jeopardizing their plans...but if he goes, they are back on track.

I don't agree entirely but I will give you that.

10. They know that he is a powder keg and they

can't depend on him to deliver anymore.

If Rove goes, then who will master mind the fraud for the votes?

Come on Fitzgerald, do your duty.

I think they have had many opportunities to see Bush up close and they realize that the booze stuff is out of the bag.

Their little Christian Values King is about to be kicked off the throne.

12. He is going to fold on national TV if someone

presses him with a question when he is boozed out of his head.

His handlers can no longer handle.

Laura looks like she is on her pills and trying to put a lot of space between the two of them.

Remember that looong vacation that she took this summer? Recall that no one ever knew where she was?

She is sick of him.

No support from Babs and Poppy .
Forget the two drunk daughters.

Dysfunctional Crime Family.
